The Braves are a summer collegiate baseball team playing in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. The Braves were founded to bring the thrill of high caliber baseball to the Northern Virginia area. The league offers a very competitive level of play where over 80% of the players are from top rated Division 1 baseball programs from around the country. Costs can be over $50,000 a year to field and operate a team of this caliber. Remaining funds go to support area youth baseball programs. Many dedicated members of the Northern Virginia community come together behind the scenes to make Braves baseball possible. This provides local families with the opportunity to spend time together watching quality collegiate baseball at no cost.
